So, she hit it off so well with Simis, that he asked her to move in.  To his house with his wife and 4 kids.   Meribeth moved in, just long enough to move back out, taking Simis with her, and his half of the money.

Simis confessed to cheating on his wife, they got divorced, and he is now living with Meribeth on her lot.
He is trying to work out custody with his x so he can see his kids.

He works as an investigative reporter, and has a lot to learn about things around the house, especially cooking.  He can't expect Meribeth to do everything.

Meribeth is still working at the science center, getting raises everyother day for her hard work.   She has also started writing, to help her with her lifetime wish of becoming an illustrious author.
